About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make sure I never stop traveling, even though I know have a "big girl" job and a husband and eventually will have children. Making the most of every weekend, every holiday and using up every vacation day!

ABOUT ME

I love all the variety this life holds, which is why I love to travel. Meeting new people, learning new stories, practicing new art forms - every experience is a gift that makes me a better me. I studied abroad in London for my last semester in college, and graduated on April 11, 2009. From there I traveled Europe for 3 months going to Greece,Italy, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Holland, France, and Spain. Along the way I got to know native cultures through couch surfing and observing local festivals and dances.

I read constantly and hope to finish writing the novel I started a few years ago...eventually. Summer of 2010 I traveled across the USA in my car, CSing the whole way - wow this country is beautiful! Summer of 2011 I spent 2 weeks traveling through the National Parks in Utah - which is now my favorite state in the USA!! So gorgeous! In 2012, I went back to Spain for a month because it is such a GORGEOUS country and I can't get enough of it!! In 2015, I got married, and my husband and I have spent more time in Spain and taken a 12 night Mediterranean cruise that took us to a few new countries that we are now dying to revisit (e.g. Turkey and Malta).

PHILOSOPHY

Life is beautiful, so live it to the fullest and never let others put you down. Never settle for less than you want out of life. Shoot for the moon, and you're sure to land in the stars. Oh, and stop looking at your phone. Look up instead - you never know what you'll see.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing to the top of Diamond Head (a dormant volcano) in Hawaii. Sunsets in Oia, Santorini and the Grand Canyon. The stars in Utah. Holding newborn babies....and so much more - how can I possibly name everything when every day holds something amazing of its own?

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a lot of good advice about how to travel cheaply and how to enjoy every minute of it. I also have many good tips and information on places to visit and things to see in the UK and the places I visited in Europe. And of course, anything about the coolest places to see in the USA. I'm also well connected with the dance scene in Charlotte - want to go salsa or tango dancing? I've got you covered.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to tell you about where I come from, what my hometown (and country) is like, and make you some delicious potato soup or scrumptious cookies (I love to bake!). I can also teach you the basics of almost all partner dances. And I'm fun. :)
