HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting, traveling, and hanging out, and in one special instance convincing a couchsurfer to move to Minneapolis! I really appreciate the opportunity to have instant friends that love showing you a different lifestyle, and I love sharing my home and wonderful city with travelers.

A whole bunch of stuff! Playing bluegrass music, square dancing and clogging, bicycles and motorcycles, camping and hiking, card games, good jokes, good food, and a warm cup of tea. Storytelling, language exchange, crafts. Trying to maintain a mediation and mindfulness practice in a busy world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch a lot of movies, but I like a lot of different books, especially travel memoirs, historic novels, and really good books. My favorite type of music is bluegrass and folk, with some spanish and portuguese music mixed in there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day I found my way to the top of a mountain in Rio de Janeiro and witnessed an incredible view of the city through shifting clouds, and then danced on them surrounded by a rainbow!

Teach, Learn, Share

capoeira, mandolin playing or clogging. I love swapping travel stories - I've got a whole bunch, from that time I got bit in the butt by a rabid fox to a luckily less harrowing adventure of riding to temple ruins on the back of a motorcycle in Cambodia. What do I want to learn? Anything you've got to offer!
