My motto: Make the day count.

Personal philosophy, huh? My oh my, big questions...I like that. Well, clearly this crazy **** called life is way too complicated to figure out (I've tried:). So, the way I came up with "Make the day count." is that what ever the meaning of our lives, it may be our only one so we should treat it with respect. Enjoy life, good and bad, learn from it, and make it matter - to yourself and to others - in a positive way. Keyword: LOVE! Yes, I'm a bit of a flowerchild of the 60's - just a younger vintage. Karma too, I do believe in that.

I love to travel but I'm not interested in separating myself from the authentic experience that you get through meeting local people and their way of life hence CS. I like the given-and-take mentality :)

Musica, film e libri

I love to read! Unfortunately, I haven't had the time or the energy to read that much in recent years. I love movies and I'm not too picky either. Some classics: Charlie Chaplin, some oldies in black&white, Woody Allen I love, Godfather etc. etc. I am mostly familiar with American and English cinema but every once-in-a-while run across other great films. Basically I just don't go to movies so I am at the mercy of what ever is on tv or the net.
Books: the Finnish classics (Sinuhe, Aleksis Kiven 7 veljestä one.) The rising sun - there are many.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Nothing can top having given birth to three gorgeous human-beings. May sound cliché-like but it's true. Other than that, the wonders of this planet never seize to amaze me. For instance sitting in a rain-forest up in the high mountains of Costa Rica or in an uninhabited island in Suomenlahti with no frills available really gives you a healthy dose of how miraculous life in all its forms is.

Always interested in sharing my limited knowledge and skills, and learning from others. I guess, I could teach some languages and share a few good recipes! I like to cook….and eat :) I also got some dance moves :) Helsinki from a native's perspective.
