ABOUT ME

We are a married couple living down here in beautiful, sunny, south Florida. We both worked in restuarants and bars for years, all over the east coast before we had enough of long hours, nights, weekends, limited vacation time, and cold weather. We left management and Chad went into sales while Lisa works in Healthcare. So here we are... We are passionate about traveling... We are not sure how to make a career out of showing people how to travel affordably, So... for now... If its a nice Saturday/Sunday when we wake up we might decide to go kayaking or bike to the beach. If the weather is bad stay in watching movies or hit up a bar in a neighborhood downtown. Friday and Saturday nights we enjoy exploring the Ft. Lauderdale, Hollywood, and Miami social and cultural scene. We try to get away for 2 to 3 days once a month to go somewhere and take 2 1 week vacations a year to places we have never been.

Intereses

Traveling, Traveling, and Traveling!!! Chad also enjoy mountaineering, painting, kayaking, writing, road biking, skateboarding. We both enjoy live jam bands, smoking, drinking, and eating ;)

We prefer independant movies, occasionally like a box office comedy, and Chad loves big budget Apocalyptic/End of the World movies.

Chad has read most all Hemmingway, Kerouac, Hunter S. Thompson, Bruce Chatwin and Thomas Wolfe. He prefers to read travel essays.

We listen to jam bands (O.A.R, Sublime, Dave Matthews, Zac Brown Band.) Lately we have been getting into bluegrass (Mumford and Sonds and Old Crow Medicine Show.)

Spent Ney Year's in Times Square, been to the Kentucky Derby and Indy 500, Skied at Kilington, Spent drunk & lazy summers at the Delaware shore, walked the halls at the Smithsonian, been to a baseball World Series and Final Four, taken a Greyhound bus cross-country, climbed Kilamanjaro, been in the depths of Patagonia, Lost ourselves and found ourselves many times in the Caribbean, experienced Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest in New Orleans, Fantasy Fest in Key West, The Cotton Bowl and Orange Bowl, and too many others to mention.
