About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, travel, travel!

ABOUT ME

Grew up in the wilderness of BC, accessible by airplane or horse only. Love nature, would be happy spending all of my time outdoors. I bike, ski, hike, run, snowshoe, and volunteer with the local search and rescue. I am on the rope rescue, cave rescue, swift water rescue, first medical responder, and helicopter long-line rescue teams. Have traveled North America and in particularly British Columbia extensively. Want to travel more, meet interesting people and share experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't be afraid to try anything, don't take yourself too seriously and try to live your best life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have had three guests stay with me and they have all been great experiences. Haven't stayed with anyone else yet but looking forward to when I do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Joined some of the groups and enjoy having guests.

Interests

Anything out doors, especially like to hike but will do just about any kind of recreational activity. Am currently working on establishing a Rocky Mountain Grizzly Center where I live. Love adventure and want to do things that most other people would never dream of.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love Ayn Rand, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Jean Auel, Kathleen and Michael Gear, love most music, never remember the names of anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have stood my ground to a charging grizzly bear, jumped out of airplanes; rescued lost and injured people in the wilderness as a member of search and rescue; skydived, base jumped, watched lions, cheetahs, and leopards hunt in Africa; watched a herd of elephants rescue a fallen baby elephant; and watched the sun rise on top of Kilimanjaro.

Teach, Learn, Share

I live in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains and can share my local knowledge of the back country and of being alone in the wilderness and finding peace there. Give me a couch and I can cook great meals, tell great stories, and teach you about grizzly bears.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru, Tanzania
