About Me

CURRENT MISSION

meet nice people, share travel experiences, pay it forward.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Tempe AZ, with the ASU campus as my play ground. I have attended 7 colleges, have a BA in general studies, I have taught English in Japan, traveled as a photographers assistant through Mexico, taught AutoCAD to Architects and Engineers, taught in colleges and been guest speaker at universities, been a home maker in Egypt, Holland, Germany, and Korea. I have traveled though much of western Europe. I garden, sew, hike, cook a little and love to share thoughts, ideas and knowledge with others. I like spending long segments of summer in Alaska, and have

Jack grew up in the mid-west in farm country. He has been a Army Helicopter mechanic in Germany when he was 18, been a professional diver until 30, owned a welding business and raised a family in Augusta Maine. 10 years ago he joined the pipe fitters union and now works all over the US (and sometimes over seas) for periods of 6 to 24 weeks as a specialty Welder.

Jack and I met in Arizona where I have a house in Wickenburg AZ. He was working on the Palo Verde Nuke plant and contacted me on Plenty of Fish. We married Feb 29, 2008, and to Moses lake WA. Since we have lived in Platte City MO, Benton City WA, and Wickenburg AZ. We are both liberal in our thinking and would like to see more money spent in this country on education and health care, and less money on trying to dominate the world economy. We have been thinking of trying to establish permanent Canadian Residence Status.

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind to others and true to your self. There are so many nice people in the world, meeting and interacting with them is a privilege and a joy.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Blues Brothers, It's a Wonderful Life, the Gods Must be Crazy, little big man

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw the most incredibly amazing healthy beautiful black bear leap over a guard rail, run across the road diagonally, and leap over the other guard rail to disapear in the Kenai peninsula of Alaska. The bear was so healthy and beautiful, it looked as if it had never done a days work in it's life but had spent its entire lifetime in a gym and beauty spa. It was the most spectacularly healthy and beautiful creature I have ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

AutoCAD and general computer use. I have taught AutoCAD software for 17 years privately to Architects and Engineers, and in the public colleges of Maricopa County. Sewing, pattern making, upholstery, entomology, gardening, ebay, craigs list, internet resurch, I tend to know a little on many subjects.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, France, Israel, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mexico, Monaco, North Korea, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, United States, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Egypt, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, United States
