About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living without boredom

ABOUT ME

I am a twenty three year old living in Burlington, VT. I love live music and good conversations, early morning coffee and late night beers. I laugh easily and often. I like movies and stories and enjoy learning or doing something new every day. I'd rather find a new friend than take in the sights my first day in a city. I love puzzles, architecture, and things that move. I'd rather have wood furniture than metal.

PHILOSOPHY

The meaning of life is to help everyone else get through it easier. My goal is to spread love and comfort.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a bunch, hosted a couple times, hoping to surf again soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Switzerland - two weeks
Paris - three weeks
madrid - 4 days
barcelona - one week
Monfrague park - one week
berlin - 4 days
budapest - 4 days
London - one week

crazy parties, great new people to meet, it always seems like three hours into staying with someone, you're already good friends and nothing seems more natural.

Interests

I am interested in just about everything! I love doing things with my hands, like rubik's cube, juggling and knitting. I like doing sports with my feet, like skateboarding, footbag or hackeysack, or snowboarding. I love learning new languages and ways of thinking.
I like to look at things and take them apart in my head, understand how they work and why.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: some of my favorite bands include Great Big Sea, Sublime, Simon and Garfunkel, The Grateful Dead and the Band, Bob Dylan and OAR, Dispatch and State Radio. However, I love all music and dancing along to it all. Music moves me in a way almost nothing else can, so I would love to be exposed to new stuff.

Movies: I love comedies, light-hearted ones. I have no real favorite movie, although Love Actually is high up there, along with the older Star Wars, old kung-fu movies and Airplane

Books: The Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, the Ender's game series by Orson Scott Card, the Chronicles of Narnia, books by Neal Stephenson. I spend too much time in books though, I'm weaning myself off them

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thing to see in life is a sunrise after you've been up all night with friends. It has happened to me five times and I remember each as a practically religious experience. Miraculously, there were no clouds in the sky whenever I have pulled all nighters and the sun is always so bright and beautiful

make that seven total all nighters, all of them still amazing, and I got to see a cow give birth while i was in switzerland!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm very outdoorsy, and I would love to do some camping with the people who come to stay with me, maybe pass on some knowledge there.

I want to learn about getting a job in a foreign country, learn a little of the languages I'm around
