ABOUT ME

I'm nineteen years old, currently living in Starkville, MS. I'm not in school, but am working full time. I love live music and spend most of my free time travelling and going to shows. I'm new to Couch Surfing but eager to build references and travel! Eventually I plan on completing my degree in Social Work to work in non profit- specifically with Teachers without Borders. I spent a month in West Africa last year working with women coming out of sex slavery, and children. It was a life changing experience that has really challenged me to keep the perspective of always putting others before myself. I believe firmly in karma and make every effort to respect, love, and learn from everyone I meet. I'm a happy person, I have joyful soul, and always keep myself open to new experiences. I enjoy spending time with likeminded people and learning from other's experiences. There are good people everywhere and I look forward to finding them all over through CS!

PHILOSOPHY

I live to love and be loved. I keep myself open minded to religion, studying primarily the words of Christ, Sidhartha, and Muhammad. I'm an optimist, always. I believe peace is possible. My heart, more than anything, is to understand peace and how I can more effectively demonstrate it in my daily life.

Interests

Kindred spirits, riding bikes, getting on the road before i know where i'm going, cigarettes, home cooked meals, fair trade festivals, live music, my sweet baby nephew, adventuring, making new friends, supporting everything local and straying from everything corporate, trying not to grow up too fast, reading, trying to learn something from every person i meet, meditating, paying it forward, etc etc
