ABOUT ME

I am a born and raised New Orleanian. I'm laid back and open-minded. I am very socially active and love to meet new people. I'm independent, reliable, and honest. I have a pretty active mind and life so I'm never bored. I always try to have fun and enjoy myself no matter where I am. I like the outdoors, nature and exploring. I want to try all that life as to offer. I'm willing to try anything once and if I don't like it the first go around, I will most likely keep trying it. The more things I believe the more I try and enjoy, the happier I'll be.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed my way through Southern Ireland alone in May of '09, I have hosted surfers from all over the world in New Orleans, and met with other CSers while traveling.

兴趣

I like playing kickball and other child's sports, riding horses, playing pool, experiencing new things, TED talks, exploring, eating, laughing, dancing, gardening, playing, living, and adventure. When the weather is nice I spend a lot of time outside. When I make the time I paint, draw, photograph and make crafty little things. I like spicy food, new people, bowling (even though I'm bad at it), surfing (i'm just a beginner), biking, crawfish, dreaming and all the good stuff. I don't like complainers, tv, oversleeping (I feel like I'm wasting time), mosquitoes, bad attitudes, or excuses.

I like all three of those things. I am always listening to music. I don't read often enough and I enjoy the occasional good movie/film. I have quite a broad taste in music. Garage A Trois, Mirah, Cat Power, Johnny Cash, Rodrigo Y Gabriella, Meiko, Yonder Mountain String Band, Gorilla Biscuits, Fugazi, The Knife, The Sounds, Electric Light Orchestra, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Primus, Pixies, Billie Holiday, Rilo Kiley, Devo, Dan Potthast, MGMT, Built To Spill, Elvis Costello, Thin Lizzy, Bikini Kill, Thelonius Monk, Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson, Tribe Called Quest, Arcade Fire, Jimi Hendrix....the list could go on forever, but I think you get the idea that I have an eclectic taste.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I broke my ankle in Ireland while traveling alone and hobbled my way through the rest of the trip on crutches. I didn't even cry.
Scuba diving Maui was pretty damn amazing.
I repelled down waterfalls in Jarabacoa.

I could teach you how to play pool, how to care for plants, operate/fix a manual camera, and more. I want to learn everything! It's a lofty goal, but I'm going to try and have fun doing it.
