ABOUT ME

I am an enthusiastic and thoughtful type of person who enjoys an active lifestyle.

I completed a 300mile ride with a friend and now have a real taste for touring. Frankly 300miles isn't far enough so we're planning another adventure.

PHILOSOPHY

Just treating others with the respect and kindness with which you hope to be treated is my favourite philosophy. It just makes sense.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have previously met other CS folks at a local event with a friend, but not as an official CS member.

I look forward to participating in these local events again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I CouchSurfed 3 places whilst riding from Paris to Amsterdam July 2009 which were my first experiences of being a CS guest. Absolutely overwhelming experiences each time, completely got me hooked. The kindness of being welcomed wholeheartedly into someones place is an incredible thing.

Centres d'intérêt

Cycling. I enjoy the direct connection to your surroundings especially cycling in the countryside with the destination preferably being a visit to a pub.

Also I enjoy walking and climbing. It is great to be outdoors.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Books: Currently I am reading Robin Hobb's Farseer trilogy. I enjoy Michael Chabon, Cormac McCarthy, José Saramago amongst a few. Sci-fi, Fantasy, fiction or factual.

Films: The Coen Brothers films, Jim Jarmusch films, Wim Wenders films. Many German films.

Music: The National, Girl Talk, Ratatat, Joanna Newsom but too many to list.
