About Me

CURRENT MISSION

the more I learn, the more I realize I do not know anything.

ABOUT ME

We are a young couple interested in traveling the world. We both enjoy eating good food, listening to good music, and reading good books. We are both very curious about anything and everything. We both graduated university. I studied History and Political Science with emphasis on Community Based Development and Patrick studied Economics and Business.

I am currently employed as a barista and manager of a local coffee shop. I love working there because of the wide array of people I get to interact with everyday, and I get all the free coffee I want. Everyday I get to meet someone new. I also work with children with FAS using music lessons to supplement their therapy. My job is very challenging and very fun. It has definitely broadened my mind.

Patrick used to own his own bar but got tired of its restrictions because he wanted to travel. Now he does a little bit of everything.

We are laid back and go with the flow, and easily adapt to new situations. We love children and animals!

PHILOSOPHY

We are very laid back people and pretty much everything goes. We are open-minded and want to see as much as the world as we can. Our philosophy is live and let live! But we would really love to experience how you live and better understand other cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are hoping to meet plenty of new people when we are traveling the world and learn about other cultures and places. We just moved into a new place that finally allows us to host people and we are really excited about it! We think that CouchSurfers is an awesome community and we hope to support it in any way we can!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are still new to the CS world, but are loving it so far. We have enjoyed learning about other countries at your home and learned more in your homes than we ever could in a classroom. We have met some awesome people through CS in the Netherlands, Sweden and Costa Rica and we hope to meet some great people in our own home!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Repelled down a water fall in Costa Rica and hiked Horsetooth Rock to see the sunrise over the city. But there are too many amazing things I am have seen to list them here, and I hope to add much more.

Teach, Learn, Share

Patrick knows A LOT about cars, coffee, great beer, economics, music, actually, he knows a lot about a lot. He is a very passionate and curious person, so when something catches his interest (which happens often), he learns as much as he can on the subject. Patrick is always willing to teach others what he knows, or suck up their knowledge.

I am quite passionate about languages, culture, history and politics. Most of my studies have been in Middle Eastern history, so I am really interested in all the countries I visit and their history, culture, language, etc. I love discussing anything with other people and am always eager to learn what others have to offer.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Czech Republic, United States
