ABOUT ME

A child of the earth..born in Switzerland, lived first year of life in Algeria, then Canada. Grew up mostly in Toronto and area. I now live in Banff in the Canadian Rockies on the Alberta side.

I love the outdoors and love the mountains. Live an active life, skiing in the winter, hiking, scrambling, biking in the summer. I love to eat and drink, am a skilled cook, and love to share my skills for anyone. I can listen to any music except country...well maybe some country. Always willing to meet other good-natured, honest people.

PHILOSOPHY

Love for all, but not to be taken for granted. Anger is an emotion that is a waste of energy, it's easier to smile and forgive. I do not practice violence, but will defend myself or a damsel in distress! ;)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to host when possible. My schedule keeps me busy, especially in the summer. Currently my accomodation does not allow for guests, but hope to change that by march 2013. When traveling...depends on where I am and how I'm traveling!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had some great experiences since I started in 2009, both traveling and hosting. Made some lifelong friends. Usually referred to as the best roommate possible, and try to transfer that to my guests and hosts!! :)

Interests

OUTDOORS!!! Love to be on or in the water, on my way to the top of a mountain, cruising on a bike.

But I like the finer things in life too!! A good wine, a tasty meal, good company!

Music - almost anything - Tom Petty, Jay-Z, Tchaikovsky, Led Zeppelin, Tribe Called Quest, Rossini, George Brassens, Rancid, Tool, Outkast, NIN. Really digging Cowboy Junknies at the moment!

Clive Barker is the only author I've been dedicated to, otherwise, I'm outside living life!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Adventures around the world. Skiing and climbing mountains, falling off boats, encountering grizzlies, riding a camel, riding motorcycles cross country, cross country mountain biking, snorkeling....everyday is amazing.
