About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To innovate and create. To be an instrument of change. Problem solving through design thinking.

ABOUT ME
I live with my darling husband, Tom and our little Indo-German son in Mumbai.
Here's a peek into what I do: www.shirinjohari.com

A Creative in Innovation, Design, Brand Building, Communication / Entrepreneur / Mixed Media / Ocean lover.

I love the sea. It calms me. And I am often in need of calming – seeing as I go about for the most part of my life, excited, dramatic and impulsive. I am a seeker. Whether it is a spiritual quest or one to find the perfect balance between science and design, I am always asking questions.

I founded https://shirinjohari.com/Clap-Global a platform that helps international travellers to visit local school classrooms and have eye-opening conversations with students.

PHILOSOPHY

I like what Dylan says ' I guess i was born very far away from where i was supposed to be and now i'm just going home!' Because i cant explode into a hundred Shirins and explore different places and possibilities of my life, i'm going to have to discover everything a little slower. I like it that every six months i look back and see that i'm a slightly different person, hopefully better :) I try and learn something new, do something new everyday for someone else or myself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are many! Floating in a river 3degrees cold, flowing between towering mountains on either side in Bhutan, rafting there, scuba diving in the canary islands and feeling like i'm in a harry potter movie with all the UV fish around me, kayaking in the sea in Goa, diving in the Andaman islands, not getting off the dance floor till i'm the last one on it, learning how to feel a persons Aura while learning energy healing, almost getting an out of body experience while meditating, swimming in the middle of the ocean(i love water), looking at the entire city of Kuala Lampur, Malasia, hanging upside down a 100 meters from the ground in a stunt/dare while participating in the television show, Fear Factor. transferring live meal worms with my mouth on the same show, travelling across rajasthan, the deserts and villages, creating designs/installations that won a few international awards, watching the young and hot king of Bhutan play a basketball match, trekking in the Bhutananese jungles and villages living in tents, getting an underwater massage called watsu in Auroville, living in a treehouse, meditating in the matramandir which is this huge surreal golden globe there, enjoying 10 days of rain while staying in a little room opposite a huge landscape of hills and 27 water falls during Vipassana,
cycling trips, getting caught in a storm on a mountain and watching a waterfall defy gravity and fly upwards..
