Currently I am lining up travel oppertunities, trying to keep several in the pipeline.

ABOUT ME

I just moved to Dalian as a professor. I divide my time between teaching, running, kick-boxing, reading like a fiend, and otherwise working on my own projects. Looking forward to meeting locals and peripatetics alike.

PHILOSOPHY

The goal of life must be to minimize boredom while pursuing your highest values. This has never been a challenge for me. I'm doing exactly what I want to, being productive in all the right directions. Never bored. Never ashamed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had exclusively positive and memorable experiences with CS and its inhabitants. I've never personally surfed but look forward to the opportunity in the future.

Intereses

Reading, writing non-fiction, designing lessons for my classes. I'm really bad at learning languages but can't help myself from working with them as much as my time allows. There's a small mountain and beach next to my apartment so running has recently become much more exciting even as the weather turns cold. Nothing compares to kick-boxing for fun.

Music: I enjoy the experience of music but am not very attuned otherwise.
