About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting to meet new friends/acquaintances and always looking for a next travel destination

ABOUT ME

I'm a very curious and open person, anxious to see the world and meet as much interesting persons as possible. I enjoy the nice things in life, and I handle the not so nice things with a good doses of humour.
I work in Brussels but I'll gladly take a day off(or some days, if my agenda allows it) to show you around.

PHILOSOPHY

Always look at the bright side of life! Get over your disappointments as quickly as possible, life is too short to sit around and mope. Live and learn. Don't judge too fast. And go and see the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to host a a lot. I have a spare room with a double bed, an attick with a futon (double bed) and a couple of mattrasses and a couch in my living room.
When I get a CS request, I check my agenda and if I have no other plans, it's a YES.
When I want to go somewhere, I send a CS request and if I get a yes, I get to know great people. If I get a no, I look for a hostel :-(

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Many many surfers, and only some hosts. In just a few months as a couch surfer, I hosted loads of surfers, each of the encounters was a very pleasant one. Ostend seems like a popular CS destination in summertime. Untill now I only surfed a couple of couches, @ Tessa's, after a great BBQ-boarding game night, @ Simone in Milano, @ Sabine's place in Bonn and one less memorable CS experience in Oslo. But overall I met lovely persons, great couchsurfing experiences!

Interests

Travelling, reading, hiking, sharing good moments with friends, cooking, going to concerts, going to a museum once in a while and wondering how small pieces of art can provoke such great emotions. Learning languages, tasting new tastes, nightswimming. Last year I took massage classes and belly dancing classes. So if you ask me really nicely, you can get a massage during your stay. My attick is not only a guest room but also a cosy and quite professional massage room. Next year I might take winetasting classes or Italian... haven't decided yet.

Music, Movies, and Books

The last movies I have seen and appreciated were: The reader, Slumdog Millionnaire. I have just finished the non fiction book "In Europe", about recent European history and I have adored "The White Tiger", a novel by Aravind Adiga, an indian writer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A snake in a Yurt in Ouzbekistan, a beautiful tiger in Bhandavgarh, India, a camel ride around Jaisalmer, Rajastan, lovely picnicks in springtime with my friends in Ostend, romantic Venice with the best travel partner ever, my sister, watching the sunset (it never looks the same!)...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can make the perfect frozen Margarita. I'm always interested in learning how to cook local specialties.
