Our mission is to see the world and meet different, fun, fascinating locals who can help us gain a true sense of the country we're visiting.

ABOUT ME

We love to travel and are finally getting the chance to travel abroad. We're extremely outgoing and love being spontaneous and living every second to its fullest. We try to always be positive and know that you draw to yourself what you think about most. We love meeting new people because everyone has a different story and you can always learn something new. We believe you should try everything once and occasionaly do something that scares you because those are the experiences you gain the most from.

PHILOSOPHY

Were only given one life and we need to remember its a gift. We believe if you are positive then you will draw positive people and experiences to your life and the same for if you are negative. We should all live every day as if it were our last.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are still very new to CS but have loved every experience we have had so far. We hope to meet as many couch surfers as possible and when we return home we will have an open door for anyone who wished to stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our very first experience with CS I would have to say has still been our best. We were both so nervous and didn't know what to expect. We stayed with Chris and Craig a couple who lived in Sydney. They treated us like family, and we have never felt more comfortable. They went way above and beyound and since then we have formed a friendship for life, which we are very blessed to have. We miss them both terribly and are going to visit them again in March. You meet the most spectacular people and for that any many more reasons couch surfing is brilliant.

Interests

Travelling and meeting people you other wise wouldn't have met. Watching as many sunsets on the ocean as you can possibly handle. Listening to live music. Just living and learning from as many experiences as we can. Meditatiom, spirituality and natural health are massive passions in my life (Lisa) Music and instruments of all sorts, especially guitar and drums are definetly my passions (Bill)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lisa: I did a couple mission trips to Mexico which truly opened my eyes. We went there to build houses and the people there had nothing but what they had they shared with everyone, even if they couldn't afford to do so. There was twenty of us and this one woman had one pot of rice for her whole family, and she didn't know when she was going to get more, however she cooked all she had and shared it with all of us because she was so grateful. It really made you see how lucky we are and how much we take for granted.

William: One day I on a whim jumped on a bus and moved from kingston to Calgary completely unprepared. I decided it was time for a change and didn't have a clue where I would end up.Along the way I met amazing people and eventually settled in Calgary which turned out to be one of the best things I've ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

Be open minded and don't be afraid to learn from people you think are different from you. Jump at new opportunities, smile constantly, sleep under the stars, sing in the shower and always find the silver lining even when it seems impossible.
