À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Settled in after a good, long wander.
ABOUT ME
I like to think that I am an open minded and tolerant person, and I enjoy meeting all sorts of people. I love to tinker with things, and am a naturally curious person.
Sometime after school I discovered that I was fairly athletic, and now I enjoy hiking, bicycling, camping, wrestling other grown men while wearing karate pajamas (often called Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) and being outdoors in general.
I now live in Bloomington, Indiana, which I consider one of the most laid back, easy, and wonderful towns I have been to in the United States. My place is near the center of town and the Indiana University campus. The fall is a wonderful time to come visit Southern Indiana and I hope to see you soon!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I love music, but am between phases and looking for something new just now. Books are what I really like when I cannot travel and see new things for myself. I really like Dostoevsky, Mark Twain, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, John Kennedy Toole, Neil Stephenson, John Steinbeck, and too many others to bore you with just now. I have also become somewhat enamored with the literary quarterly "Granta" which is published in London...
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I once pulled a woman from a campfire. She was dancing with this very tall man around a huge fire at an underground mountain bike party in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. She twirled under his arm, then caught his hand and spun away from him very gracefully, but did not notice the raging fire directly behind her and promptly fell into it.
I didn't know many people there, and felt shy about doing anything, so I stood there for just a fraction of a second waiting for someone else to pull her out, but then I realized that the task was mine.
I reached down, twisted bunches of her windbreaker into my hands, and pulled HARD while absurdly fearing that her coat would tear. She sprang up so quickly that it surprised me, and, because she was smart enough not to push her hands into the burning coals, was not injured at all.
There was so much drunken nonsense going on that night that I am not sure anyone else even remembers what happened. But I will always remember that fraction of a second...
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
There is kind of a lot, and I feel a little strange about writing it all down. I tend to retain technical information really easily for some reason (while at the same time not being able to remember people's names) so I can answer a lot of strange questions about all sorts of machines. I also like doing silly, boy scout type stuff like tying knots and sleeping in tents. Oh, and I have a pretty good collection of tools at my place if anyone needs to repair anything on the fly!
