About Me

CURRENT MISSION

...

ABOUT ME

Right now I'm a student of Applied Ecology in Cornwall. I'm into everything earthy like brewing vast quantities of wine and growing veg from seeds. One of my favourite pastimes is looking for micro-organisms under a microscope. Giant stick insects are some of my favourite creatures and I have a few species of them as pets (see profile picture!) I am a travel addict and have been backpacking around Asia, Europe, Indonesia, southern Africa and the Middle East. I'm an expert hitch-hiker and have been on some big hitch-hiking trips including England to Romania and back. I love meeting new people and seeing where the winds of chance take me, so couchsurfing is perfect!
I make illustrated travel journals of my travels which I have self-published and sell in some local shops.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a playground or nothing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've couchsurfed a few times and am a verified member. Living with some laid-back students now so i can at last offer my couch and give something back.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed a couple of times in England and France and would do it more often in other places but my travel plans are usually too loose to warn them in advance. Couchsuring.com is a brilliant idea. I've also been wwoofing a few times, which is a similar kind of philosophy.

Interests

Nature, travelling (of course), science & maths, art, growing food, insects, jungles, walking... that kind of thing.
I like high mountains and infinite views, open spaces and travelling for weeks with no idea where I'll sleep each night.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movie: Mr Nobody
Music: The Smiths
Book: The Road

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been to India.
Also the Nowhere Festival (like a mini Burning Man festival but in Spain), which for me was humanity at its finest and among the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

What could i teach? I suppose I could help with drawing, but that's all just practise really. I'm good at sprouting beans! A bit of guitar. I could teach how to brew alcohol and how to identify different types of bugs.

Countries I’ve Visited

Botswana, Cambodia, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Israel, Jordan, Laos, Namibia, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
