ABOUT ME
I am a down to earth person but with plenty of dreams. Am currently studying and working as a Russian and German teacher, but secretly hoping to pack my packs and venture the world, take the next bus to a destination unknown and sleep under shining stars. (Not that I wouldn't like my job, though...:)I´m into sports, especially winter sports, including my all time favourite - skiing. We've got a crazy amount of snow here, it's like a winter wonderland. Just imagine a pure white winter landscape, bright sun and blue horizont... There´s something amazing in every season, the first sunny days after a long winter, the long and bright sommer nights, a stormy November afternoon and the first snow flakes. As you might have figured out, I enjoy being in the nature, pick berries (there are loads of them in Finland!), go for a swim and just sit by a lake and stare as far as one can see. Learning languages is one of my passions too, sometimes I feel desperate to realise that my learning capacity has its limits! Other cultures inspire me a lot, mostly i just enjoy to see the everyday life in a country i visit. About my personality: Well, I might need some time to warm up, so to speak. :) You might forgive for a Finn... I'm a positive person, love to laugh a lot, try to see the good sides about everything. We have only one life, we ought to make the most of it, try to follow our dreams, take it easy, laugh and love. PLUS enjoy good food, company, conversations!
PHILOSOPHY
There´s nothing as important than to love and learn to love more.

Sometimes the best way to spend one´s time is just to sit in a cafe and observe people passing by.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Forest Gump, Green Mile, Kolja, Die Blechtrommel, Die fetten Jahre sind vorbei, Gegen die Wand, Goodbye Lenin, Pride and Prejudice, My Name is Khan, Amelie, Kite Runner (i should read the book also), ... world is full of movies worth seing, there's just so less time! Books: Bulgakov Master and Margharita; Waltari; The Egyptian, Sillanpää; Silja, nuorena nukkunut; Bronte: Jane Eyre; Max Frisch Homo Faber, Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, Paolo Coelho: The Alchemist, Burned Shadows... Dostojevsky is a genius, the same goes for Gogol, Lermontov, Nabokov... I get easily hooked onto songs, depending on my mood and then i listen to them till i drop.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Midnight sun on Åland island, old pittoresque villages in Russian Carelia, feeling like an ant on a mountain in Switzerland... There´s somethig special in every day, small moments of joy.
Teach, Learn, Share
We could start with the most beautiful frase in Finnish: Hyvää yötä! Kauniita unia! (isn't that cute!) I could take you to a sauna and show the real technique of bathing with a birch switch :)I want to learn to dance salsa, fly a plane (my environmental conscience is knocking but still...) wanna sleep on a desert, you know, see all those stars and the vast skyline!
