About Me
CURRENT MISSION
whatever beasts.
ABOUT ME
went to nyu for film school. after 3 years decided i don't want to make movies, now devoting my time to reading and writing fiction and poetry. graduated december 08. vices include bourbon, tobacco, poetry. old fashioned that way.my life goal is to create a highly personal/chapter by chapter/multi-media reinterpretation of the entire Bible and i want you to beat me to it. most of it will probably be in poetry form, but there will almost certainly be some film, painting, fiction and music that either complements or builds upon the poetry. and i think that when i finish it i might do it again.
PHILOSOPHY
i like writing and cormac mccarthy said it as well as i've heard anyone say it:
"at the core, there's this image that you have, this interior image of something that is absolutely perfect, and that's your signpost and your guide. you'll never get there, but without it you'll never get anywhere"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
how about two amazing things?
1. spent a month on the road by myself, going cross country and back. as soon as i got back to california i beelined for the beach. i sprinted into the ocean with all my clothes on and then got back into my car and drove home, putting an extraordinarily sentimental cap on what was already a kitsch explosion of a road trip.
2. iceland. it genuinely blew my mind. it was so good it made me sick. i was afraid to leave, i am afraid of going back.
Teach, Learn, Share
i can teach you about coffee, sushi rice, and swagger. maybe recommend a good movie or book or two.
i'd like to learn how to cook better or have a good movie or book or two recommended to me.
