Overview
About Me
Try your luck with a couch request, but I am traveling a bunch these days so I might not be home.
CURRENT MISSION
Absorbing the summer sunlight, wherever summer is and meeting as many positive and uncomplicated people as fate throws at me. I am a fan of sunshine and the outdoors, and my mood is greatly influenced by the presence or lack of sun.
ABOUT ME
I'm a relaxed and rather quiet person, but I love chatting and I'm of a curious nature. Will probably ask much about causes and effects of different things, and snoop around your library or book collection.
I enjoy all types of art except contemporary, and I love discussing all sorts of subjects over a glass of wine or great coffee.
PHILOSOPHY
"Personality can open doors, but only character can keep them open."
-Elmer G. Letterman
No drugs. Don't do them, don't like others doing them in my presence. Food and coffee and chocolate don't count :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I just recently returned to CS after a 3 year break. There is simply no comparable alternative at the moment.
I was hosting, surfing, meeting people, showing around and being shown around. Absolutely love city exploring and nature walks.
Hate it when people take advantage of couchsurfing to ask for money in exchange for a place to sleep.
Interests
Besides digging up shit more ancient that the bible, I read, cook, hike and explore this world as much as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books
Now I'm psyched about Scandinavian and Danish crime-thriller novels, the only kind of 'German' literature I read while commuting in the city.
Music: all instrumental and melodic music from classical, rock, jazz, to even a little black metal.
I don't know how to dance anything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting lost in big cities- I love it! You never know what you might find!
Floated in the sea while looking at the mountains on shore, in Calabria.
Saw the relics of the continental split (South America-Africa): the canyons Fortaleza and Itaimbenzinho, both breathtaking
Navigating the Brazilian transportation system. For an European used to German precision and not speaking Portuguese (at that time), I think I did great.
Learned basic Spanish in one month
Saw Cerro de los 14 colores in Hornocal
Teach, Learn, Share
I`m eager to improve myself by each moment spent with a new person or being in a new place. Am by no means a marathon tourist that "does" places to tick them off a list.
I love sharing my knowledge of how to properly take care of plants and how to cook by instinct.
I can show you how to dig a pool or a grave, depending on your needs.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Interesting or not so interesting facts about Romanians, and whichever other subject I might be knowledgeable of, travel stories, a good homecooked meal.
