CURRENT MISSION
Living life like every week is shark week
ABOUT ME
I am grappling with my decision to stay in one place for a while and undertake the equally self indulgent and infantilizing experience that is graduate school. Hopefully the end result will be a job applying my background in social science to real world conservation dilemmas that consider both social and ecological systems equally.
I enjoy thinking about, reading, and discussing these interests but I get my share of that in school. I much prefer talking about things I have little expertise in but find fascinating like making jam, vertical gardening, how bees communicate, dendrochronology, quilting, etc.
One of my favorite things is to explore a new city on a bicycle or on foot and discover interesting cafes, bars, green space and shops.
PHILOSOPHY
How strange it is to be anything at all

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Had an anything but clothes themed birthday party in a forest in a tiny village in Madagascar. I can not say the local people understood the theme, but they thought it was hilarious. I was wearing a hammock.
