About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Catch em' All

ABOUT ME

I am a retired treasure hunter who now enjoys spending my time playing music with others who have passion in art, and with my band. I like to share my thoughts about spirituality and to learn and grow from what other people have to say. I am currently volunteering in Israel- teaching English in Primary school and with the community of Bet Shemesh. I hope to travel the world in search of an instrument in which I can express myself on a totally different level- places where I have traveled recently on my mission; Ethiopia, Guatemala, Panama and Thailand.

PHILOSOPHY

If I only knew why I live my life...I definitely wouldn't be making a profile on this website. And that is kind of why I am making a profile- to meet others in hopes of maybe finding my mission in life. But as for now, I just live with the hope of improving this world in any way I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I believe the best way to grow is by talking to people; I believe everything is meant to be and when I meet someone who I connect with on a personal, musical, or spiritual level I try to take advantage of it and give of myself and my knowledge and my love in hopes of impacting others and being impacted by others in a positive way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've spent time in Guatemala and Ethiopia living in villages with people who barely have a couch to give and they still keep it open with a warm heart. My best experiences in life so far have been staying at people's houses and learning about a different lifestyle...and it's always a plus to be on a comfy couch!

Interests

My main interest is music: Everything about it.
Playing, writing, composing, producing, listening, expressing.
I feel that music is the strongest way to connect people, it's a language that crosses many barriers that are hard to pass in any other way- between people, races, religion, creeds, it's all in the music.

I am also very interested in religion. Learning about my own (Judaism) and others as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

All music. All movies- depending on the setting. And books I prefer to be thrillers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I woke up this morning. That's pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

hmm...The idea of couchsurfing is in fact not an original concept at all- it dates back to the chapters of our fathers, or Pirkei Avot- a collection of sayings by the Rabbi's about all aspects of life.
In chapter 1 verse 5 it states "Yosi ben Yochanan of Jerusalem said: Let your house be wide open and let the poor be members of thy household"
So couchsurfing is a pretty old school mindset.
