ABOUT ME

We both like travelling, in France and in foreign countries. We are curious and open-minded, maybe a little bit shy at first sight but always satisfied to meet people, to discover new things, other culture, others habits, to exchange ideas.
We are calm and want to live our life peacefully with lots of joy and hope.
Nature lovers, passionate with music, photos and beautiful landscapes. As at ease in big cities, to visit museums, to stroll in streets, to admire the architecture, as in countryside to listen to birds and to walk in fields.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We live in a small village, just near Grenoble. We like this region, especially the mountain and we want to show everybody wants what to do, to visit, to see here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We often have friends at home and are open to other cultures.
We have a very good experience in Syria, hosting by a very kind guy. So we want to experiment the same thing again, and hope we can give the same to other people.

Interests

We both love the mountain (naturally given our place of house!) but for different reasons. Both hiking, doing snowshoes, ski and photos. Laurent cycles, runs for trail, Marie is attracted by paragliding and climbing.
Marie: I like very much reading (I was born in a house full of books), playing music (classic piano), sewing (I come back from Africa with full of fabrics and I decorate all the house!), observing nature and taking care of my plants. I also like oriental philosophy : I do taichi, yoga and qiqong.
Laurent: fascinated by photos, I take advantage of the slightest opportunity to bring out my cameras. I also discovered the running this year and train to run a marathon. I like Mac and Leicas. I like reading, but especially comics or mangas.
We two: as we like good food, we thus like cooking (our couchsurfer can test our culinary talents!), we like having a walk according to our envy, listening to some music and going to concerts, inviting friends at the house and discussing around a fire in the fireplace, going to the cinema or spending hours in front of television series.

Marie can learn you : how to cook a typical french meal, local agriculture in Alpine region and how farmers do to make so god cheese and meat, what you can do to have a more ecological way of life.

Laurent can learn you to recognize some very common plants used in liquor, which camera and which light to do beautiful photos.
