About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the country, the world and myself any way I can. To avoid becoming stagnant at all costs.

ABOUT ME

I am in the pursuit of most satisfying life. I want to be, work and play hard outside all day. I enjoy city life too, sitting at coffee shops, mingling with and watching people, listening to all sorts of music played in all sorts of spots all of which you can bike bike bike to! Lately in the fall-time I make my way to Down East Maine to harvest blueberries with a small crew of wonderful weirdos on some beautiful land. Sometimes I end up in the high desert of New Mexico on a Goat Cheese Farm listening to the latest news from Planet X, tanning deer hides in Western Nebraska, or playing pool with musicians in Philly.
I do so enjoy a good adventure, a good story and good people. The nooks and crannies where I keep finding these things is what makes life so exciting!

PHILOSOPHY

My dad once gave me some excellent pieces of advice- Never stop learning, no matter what, and don't let life turn you into a pessimist. Pretty well sums up the focus of my life! Learn forever, life is beautiful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Community/solid friendships are really important to me, and my house has always been open to people looking for somewhere to crash. I've been doing a lot of traveling around since I first joined CS a few years ago and have had so many awesome and even life changing experiences meeting people all around the country. Couchsurfing has been a fantablulous addition to my life. I regret that I haven't had more opportunities to host, but it's been a little while since I've had a steady home of my own...but I'd love to help out anyone in my vicinity any way I possibly can, and whenever I settle down again my couch will certainly be open to all those passing through. For now all I have to offer is my charm and wit, a song and maybe an interesting story or two.

Interests

I love to sing and play guitar, and am always looking for people to share music with! I like listening to live music, especially when it's being played by people I know and like. I love telling and listening to stories. It's easy to make me laugh. Biking is my favorite way to get around. Outside is my favorite place to be. Being dirty doesn't bother me. I'm not all that into spending money on stuff. I do however have a minor coffee and crossword addiction. I'm working on acquiring skills that'll allow me to live the simple and satisfying life I'm after, sewing and building, bike stuffs, working with animals and less wasteful existence.I love losing myself in movies and books. Most of all I am interested in people, and what they're all about.
