ABOUT ME
I'm a graduate student, originally from the States. I grew up on Long Island and then Boston, and went to college at the University of Vermont. I lived in Vermont for 6 years and loved it, but moved to England in September of 2008 to do my PhD in cognitive psychology at the University of Nottingham in England. I love it here, but I miss the snow! My PhD is in language processing and bilingualism in the brain, a topic which stems from a love of traveling, experiencing new cultures, and meeting new people. In between working on that pesky PhD I'm trying to see as much of Europe as I can, since it's so close now!
PHILOSOPHY
Live your life. Don't survive your existence.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately too busy to host a lot, but I'm always up for coffee and meeting new people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Amazing. I've met the most genuine, interesting, open-minded people while surfing and hosting.
Interests
I read too many books, and probably watch too many films, but hey. I'm also into music, both listening to and actively making. I've been trying to teach myself guitar for the last few years, with not much success ... I get bored easily. Otherwise into yoga, experimenting with cooking yummy and healthy vegetarian food (I dislike following recipes), learning new languages, hiking, camping, snowshoeing and generally being outside as much as possible, good friends and good conversation. And TRAVELING!!
