About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the world meeting as many wonderful people as possible along the way. I want to experience as much culture and variety as possible in my life to keep me happy and free!

ABOUT ME

I am generally a chirpy girl, enjoying the company of happy, friendly people and any random adventures that occur along the way. I love meeting new people who enjoy life and want to make the most of it!

PHILOSOPHY

Everything will eventually have a positive effect on you in the end, even the worst moment will eventually teach you something about life and yourself, so don't give up.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I got involved in some of the meets and activities in both Lima and Manchester and plan to be more active in organising some in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed many a couch before realising that CS existed, its such a great way of seeing people from my past who I want to keep in touch with.

So far my experiences have always been good - what touches me is that people are so friendly and generous, even if you don't know them. I once crashed the couch of a friend of a friend when I was badly hungover and found myself overwhelmed by the kindness they showed us-particularly as they suggested I stay at theirs the following night in a bed! People are amazing.

Interests

I am really into good music - particualrly live gigs in the great outdoors, festivals and people who clearly love to play. I love a good night out, with great people, danceable music and free spirits. I am also quite creative-painting and making various bits and pieces when I get time. I am also a keen new gardener and try to spend my time at my allotment patch when I can! I have recently taken up hula tricks which makes me very happy! But I also love to sit down with a good book in hand.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music is spread wide: DnB, Dub step, Break-beat, Folk, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Rock... and I guess anything else I get a chance to try out!

I generally get a chance to read books when I'm travelling which hasn't been for a while, but the book that always sticks in my mind is 'Tuesdays with Morry'. It is an incredible book and very inspiring-i advise the world to read it.

Films: Into the Wild, Science of Sleep, The Darjeeling Express, Amile, Pulp Fiction

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a skydive with some of my best friends. It was one of the most terrifying moments in my life, but also one of the most incredible. The power of overcoming a fear and, proving to yourself that you can is amazing! Also it is a beautiful and exhilarating way to see the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always up for trying and learning new things.

Having lived abroad I learnt a lot of Spanish, but want to keep it up while I'm in England. I am an English teacher and always willing to exchange this skill to help people to learn.
