About Me
ABOUT ME
- loves adventure. game for pretty much everything and anything!
- keen interest in people, culture, and history. i'm all for the usual touristy stuff, but hey--- the most interesting stuff are usually on the side streets only the locals would know (so ditch that Lonely Planet)
- what i do to have money for travelling: projects planner for cross-region sourcing. how i do it: call a meeting via teleconference with about 10 countries spanning timezones, let them argue (yada yada) for about 20 minutes while i put the phone on mute and eat, and then i 'suggest' the final route and explain why for 1 minute. then i go back to eating. im lazy that way :)
PHILOSOPHY
i've read somewhere, that when you're old and gray, you'd feel regret for the things that you didn't do, rather than for the things you've done.
amen to that!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Music, Movies, and Books
i am not even going to attempt to list everything here--- i've been reading since the age of Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, and Sweet Valley :). but am currently loving jhumpa lahiri, john irving, kazuo ishiguro, and bill bryson. this year, i want to see what's the hype about AS Byatt and D. Foster Wallace, so i brought their books with me during my 8-month assignment in Turkey!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
hiked up a mountain summit to the coldest spot in the country (with about 20 strangers and zero outdoors experience). the sun was rising in front of me above a sea of clouds, while the full moon was still high behind me. ahhhh, priceless.
Teach, Learn, Share
um, is this really required? reminds me too much of school! sadly i can't cook, sew, teach any sport (i love watching and screaming and jumping up and down embarrassingly for whoever im rooting for though!). but i can carry good conversations, do some pretty neat stuff in ms excel and ms project (geek alert!). i'm a mean bargain-hunting machine, and can go wherever you wanna go and try out new stuff!
