About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am a new couch surfer! I love the idea of bringing the world to me as well as going out there myself & experiencing people, places and adventure that is diffent from my life. It also helps me keep that out of box thinking & opens up the mind.

ABOUT ME

Every year I go on a big adventure with my travel mate. Kenya this spring (all over India last year) Next plan Japan and then Peru.It feeds my curiousity and desire to learn.I particularly loved sailing a Dhow in the Indain Ocean (Kenya) and camping on a deserted Island. Snorkelling among the coral and little fish was such a wonder.
I am a happy wanderer.
I enjoy sailing and have decided to get back into this after a few years on dry land. I love gardening and visiting gardens, I would be very happy to take people to any of the numerous gardens locally.Happiest out in the fresh air. Not too princessy to camp, but love the
sophistication of theatre, opera and musicals. Happy in scruff or style. There are many sides to me. I like the variety. I walk a often,on the flat and mountains. I like the quiet time of painting with acrylics and charcoal. I have an interesting and close family which feeds the heart and soul. I enjoy a good laugh but my sense of humour is a bit daft. It's good to be a bit mad sometimes. Enjoy a good chat over a small cider or glass of wine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I know the area very well and am happy to share my knowledge to enrich your visit. I find my job in Psychiatry interests quite a few people, as I work the emergency suicide phone line for the NHS. It's not sad, I would describe it as 'beautiful' work, because I have the opportunity to reach out a helping hand. My own life experiences enriches the work a thousand fold. If this gentle gentle introduction to couch surfing works out well, I would be very happy to offer a couch. I just want to test it out first.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never couch surfed to date but my family participate with enthusiasm! In the past I have enjoyed house swopping without any traumas. It gave me the reassurance (as I generally believe) that most people are descent out there. The kindness of strangers is a gift to be treasured.
