CURRENT MISSION
start a story and finish it.
ABOUT ME
i am possibly the most patient person you know. i hate arguments and altercations. I tell more than I ask. I am russian, i like long stories. I am easily amused, which is fine with me since i love to laugh. if i were a character in Mary Poopins my laughter would send me into orbit by now.
I live life very laissez-faire, I wing it, i try to make a joke out of most things, but my humor is this odd hybrid of dryness, sarcasm and slapstickism. I guess that means my sense of humor is 80 proof. triple distilled.
Sometimes, I wish I were more willing to lie occasionally-- just because my honesty doesn't work in interviews.
I tend to get along with most people...
this is a terrible description. i'll fix it before it leaks everywhere.
oh yeah, I'm a huge fan of Karma and Paradox. big time.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
there's definitely nothing better than that whole giving/receiving dynamic. as long as I go to work on monday knowing that I made someone's weekend better by being a good host I can miss a deadline that day and still feel awesome.

Music, Movies, and Books
i'm a bookworm.
Bradbury, O. Henry, Hafiz, Paul Auster, Doug Adams, EE Cummings...
my patience with films probably surpasses most others' just watch a film by Aki Kaurismaki and you'll see what I mean. I loved Man on Wire. Jeanne Dielman. Lola Rennt might be my favorite.
i listen to all music. anything with energy. not rare is the sight of me bustin a dance or a sing-along out of nowhere.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On a dog sunday in Central Park I witnessed an enormous drum circle. Africans, Europeans, Americans, about a dozen drummers hammering away, and a crowd gathered. Some dance troupe started dancing along to the music. Then they were joined by another. Soon they started picking members of the audience to dance with. Next thing you know, everyone (maybe 50 people) are all dancing in a huge crowd around the drummers. For a glorious minute or two, my heart beat right with everyone's.

Rule #1 in looking at buildings:
All buildings must have a base, a body, and a top.
Rule #2:
Where is gravity?
Rule #3:
What is this building used for? Is it obvious?
