ABOUT ME

As a child, I was plagued by migraines until one day a doctor gave me a medicine that he promised would "permanently lower my brain excitability." I haven't had a migraine since, but no other migraine sufferer has ever heard of this mysterious drug. Needless to say, I'm just waiting for my mutant powers to manifest. Should happen anytime now.

I love reading, cooking, yoga, being outside and doing outdoorsy things (hiking, backpacking, fishing), playing sports (rugby and soccer especially), and spending time with my family and friends.

be kind to yourself. be kind to others. mistakes are a part of life - learn from them, and try not to beat yourself up about them. don't settle.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few couchsurfers while living with my friend Ray, and now I am happy to say that I have also surfed in Boulder! What a fantastic way to see a place. Heck, I didn't just see a place, I made connections to it through the people there, and that's what makes any place valuable.

books: all kinds. a good book is a wonderful thing

movies: i'll watch anything but horror movies because horror movies scare me.

music: sadly, i don't spend as much time finding good music as i would like to, but i always love to get directed to somebody new.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i was camping on top of Hump Mtn in TN, the sun was setting in a crystal clear sky, the wind was blowing across the mountain, and all of a sudden thousands upon thousands of lines of spider web were illuminated by the fading sunlight, all of them streaming out horizontally from the tops of the tall grasses swaying in the wind.
