About Me

CURRENT MISSION
A friend once called me an international glamour puss. It sounded right. I still blindly hope to have visited every country in the world in my lifetime. I participate in the on-line travel community of Nomad Mania and wish to have visited half the regions of the world in the next ten years (magic in numbers).

ABOUT ME

I am a hilarious, sharp-tongued, multilingual secret agent for a second rate power.
At least, that's how this all feels.

PHILOSOPHY

I listen more then I talk and that's quite a statement because I talk a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I can only surf. I bring my bottomless bag of travel stories and advice when required. My current conditions in Budapest are not ideal to host as I do not possess a couch. (This is not Grindr after all.)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In June 2009 I went to Nuuk for 5 days and had fun like a drunk whore who has stolen the wallet of a sheik. This was 11 years ago now and feels like it happened during the high days of Sumer.

Interests

The road. Foreign languages. Reading. History, politics, literature. Star Trek.
I also have a strange interest in silly schlager music from the 30's-40's-50's and 60's. I'd rather not explain. It's a homo thing I guess.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Catching my first sight of Saint-Basile on Red Square in 2007 was the initial grand success of my travelling life.

Since then, many fabulous things have happened. I have waited for a Bolivian bus in the middle of the Paraguayan Chaco in the middle of the night, I have crossed the borders of Brazil in remote places that probably do not even truly exist, I have seen the ends of Europe, Rapa Nui and have woken up in a 5 star hotel in Beijing. This is going very well indeed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I gladly help with French homeworks if needed. I can knock some nonesense out of you if needed.
