Chi sono

CURRENT MISSION

"The people you meet, create the paradise you find" - that is how I live my life, who would like to join me?

ABOUT ME

I am a easy going and fun loving web developer.
I have just graduated from University of Kent in England and I got my degree in Forensic Science. I have also completed a TEFL course and moved abroad to teach English and working in a bar/hostel in Kobe, Japan.
Now, after some extended "career breaks", I have since been back in London for a while to start my UK adult life...... We will see how that goes.
I love to travel (although I need to do more) and swap travel stories and experiences, meet new people and make long life friends!!
I enjoy a good drink and a party, and love food.

PHILOSOPHY

These are mine:
Smile wide, hug long and love always...
Happiness is not in "what" you find, but in the "people" you find...

And these are someone else's (but I still live by them):
Happiness is only real when shared.
What matters not is whether our existence is meaningless or meaningful. What matter is whether we enjoy trying to work it out.

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to travel the world and become more cultured and network all around the world!! I think CS is the best way to do it!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been CS for 8 years now and have had great experiences do it. I think the people you meet while doing it are the best sort of people and are alittle crazy, well to open your house to a stranger you have to be a bit off you rocker, but that is the best thing about it.
I have CS in places in Europe and also in the US, Japan and South America and doing this I have experienced these cities as a local would, not as a tourist. That is the best way to do it.

Musica, film e libri

I love new music and finding out a new artist that I have never heard before - thankyou Spotify
The music on my iPhone at the moment ranges from Frank Sinatra to The Beatles to Deadmau5 to Alabama Shakes. I will go to almost any music concert - I love live music.
Cinema is a passion of mine and I try and go to the cinema at lest once a week. When I was living in London I was part of the Rooftop Cinema Club, which screened classic and cult movies all over London - a different location every week. My top 5 movies are -
1. Garden State
2. Kill Bill (Vol. 1 & 2)
3. Spirited Away
4. The Red Turtle (which I recently watched!)
5. The Big Lebowski
But the top 5 changes most weeks.
My favourite books are "Into the Wild" by Jon Karkauer, "The Great Gatsby" by F.Scott Fiyzgerald, "Life of Pi" by Yan Martel, "Starter for Ten" by David Nicholls and "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I worked in a Ugandan primary school for 8 weeks and seeing the way these children walked a 4 mile round trip to school every day, at the age of 6, and be happy to learn will stay with me for a very long time.

Insegna, impara, condividi

I would love to learn abit of the native langauge of the country I am visiting and I best person to learnt from would be my host. As long as he wanted to teach me.
I also want to learn yoga, I have been putting it off for to long!
I can teach you to stand on your head, if you dont already know.
