About Me

** NOTICE: My boyfriend and I are very excited to have guests, it's been a great experience! unfortunately we can't do this often, that's why my status in CS is "maybe accepting guests" due to availability.

If you want to couchsurf with us, please first read the "my home" section so you know the few basic rules and get some info about the place. Thanks**

CURRENT MISSION

Work to be a better person and a better artist each time more , and really enjoy the journey.

ABOUT ME

I describe myself as easygoing, creative, authentic, sensitive and a passionate person with good sense of humor (I'd like to think) and I'm very interested in experiencing and understanding, as much as I can, about people's different cultures, way of life, motivations etc. and share myself with others.

I like to enjoy the simple and beautiful moments that the life offers, at the same time I often think about future and I get the need to exceed.

And ok I accept that sometimes I can be lazy and... I could keep going with the black list but I don't want to make a bad impression :P

PHILOSOPHY

I like diversity and freedom. Self and other's respect is fundamental.

I do my own mix of what I think is the best from different currents of thoughts, styles, and due to my wide interests I feel good in diverse environments.
So if I had to choose a philosophy concept that describes my paradigm somehow, I'll go with "eclectic".

Some of my mantras are: "Collecting experiences is much more enriching than collecting belongings", " Be congruent to your believing when you talk and behave", "Help others if you can".

And as a great spanish song says, I agree "Not everything is black or white, it's gray, it all depends on the hue. Look and learn to distinguish".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a guest, and more recently as a host, now we have some space in the apartment. We've been CS hosts 2 times and we want to repeat both roles: guest and host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My sister and I had the time of our lives experiencing Couchsurfing in places like Tuscany area in Italy (near to Florence), Berlin, Prague, Amsterdam, so far all of our stays and hosts have been great!

It is also really nice to host people, travelers usually spreads their enthusiasm!

Couchsurfing is a fantastic project, hope it keeps growing, we are very thankful with our wonderful generous CS hosts!! also very pleased with their roomies and the other travelers we met in their homes and very glad with the guests we've had.

In fact me and a lovely guest made an actual toast in honor of the Couchsurfing platform, in her last day at my place, for the pleasure to meet each other!

Interests

In addition to connecting with people through music and acting , another great interest for me is to travel , because is a sure way to experience amazing situations that remain for life and strengthens bonds between those who share the journey.

Also it helps me to discover and enjoy new places , people, music, culture, food, drinks , landscapes and activities and understand more the people's different ways of life, which is fascinating for me.

Finally my other big interest is to learn more diverse stuff, and live more new and exciting experiences like flying in a hot air balloon, parachute etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Although so far I only speak in spanish and english, I practice the pronunciation and search the meaning of lyrics from songs in french, italian, portuguese, etc. to sing them, because I love the sound and music in many genres. My favorite for singing are "Power Ballads", R&B and jazz.

For dancing I love to dance latin music such as merengue and salsa! also disco.

And about movies, I enjoy genres as thriller, romantic, comedy, musical, drama, political and biographical. Some of my favorite movies are The Shawsshank Redemption, Quill, The good son, Pay it forward, Finding Neverland, Slumdug millionaire, Titanic, Se7ven, La ley de Herodes, La vie en rose, etc.

Books: I enjoy reading, but sadly I haven't assigned enough time for books as I would like, some times I have to start over with a book due to the time passed since the last time I read it. My favorites are the Groosham Farm, Sofia's World, Rich Dad - Poor Dad, 100 things every mexican should know.
More often I read articles about topics such as health, music, world news, religions, beauty, biographies, travel, tips etc. on internet, newspapers and magazines.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

OMG how to choose just 1 amazing thing I've done, where do I start (kidding)

Well, here is one: After participating in lots of castings, 2 years ago I was selected in "The Voice Mexico" the mexican edition of the world famous musical TV show :D

It was a huge experience for me to meet awesome people, to hug Ricky Martin haha, perform in such a fantastic stage and the most important the new fans that now I have because of this. It's a very intense and emotional experience with its lows and highs. So, for sure, it is for me an "amazing thing I've done".

Teach, Learn, Share

I wish we can share great moments together and discover all the magic at your city when I couchsurf with you, or I can show you the best of Austin (there's lot of awesome things to see and do) and make you feel like home.

At the same time I want to improve my English by talking with you, we can also speak Spanish if you want.

Other things that I imagine we can share or learn could be music and dance, but probably during the conversation will emerge much other interesting stuff too for sharing each other.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully we can share memorable moments, laughs and learnings that enriches each other, that remains with us as lovely memories for long time.
And if you want I can sing a little bit for you, or even better we can sing along together, we could cook something :)

And as a way to say thank your to our CS hosts for their big generosity and time, we give them symbolic gifts, with the intention to leave them a souvenir that brings they back the good memories of our time together (due to the luggage restrictions gifts are lightweight and small objects, but chosen with great gratitude!) such as mexican traditional stuff: handcrafts, jewels, beans, etc. or now I'm in Austin I could bring cool Texan souvenirs from the live music capital of the world!
