ABOUT ME

We are both new to the couchsurfing thing. We've hosted a wonderful group of guys from France...and now want to host as much as we can because it was such a great experience!

We both moved to NYC after college...but have had the passion to travel for quite some time. I studied abroad in Australia and Fiji and Adam has spent time in Costa Rica. We will be backpacking through Europe May 10-28, 2009...and couchsurfing our way from Ireland to Italy.

I am an artist at heart. I do commission canvases and murals for clients throughout the USA. I also coordinate medical education conferences for neurologists. Adam is an editor for a production company called GuerillaFX. He has done work for some big names like MTV and Google.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are new to this...so we've only had the opportunity to host 4 French guys two different weekends. We spent lots of time showing them the town and taking them out at night. They were great, and we are going to be staying with them while in France.

Interests

Some random things about me: I am obsessed with Mexican food. I bought a vintage pink bike when I moved to New York, and I like to bike across the Brooklyn Bridge. I have jumped out of a plane and highly recommend it (as long as you have someone strapped to your back who knows what they're doing). I have hitchhiked in Fiji. I can down Jagerbombs like nobody's business. I love Karaoke...but probably should spare everyone the pain. Chinatown $2 dumplings at Prosperity keep me running on a budget in NYC.

A little bit about Adam: He has dance moves like you've never seen (watch out, ladies!). He likes to play poker...but needs to improve if he is going to keep borrowing my money to play. He's a great cook...and makes a mean lime chicken soft taco. Some of his favorite bands are Phish, Grateful Dead, Allman Bros. He has a record player and frequents the many record stores in NYC (and has the beginnings of a great collection).
