About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Cycling around the world
ABOUT ME
I have to passions: bicycles and traveling. I studied media and communication and worked on that for a while, combining it with season jobs such as leading mountain bike tours and other outdoor activities.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm not a religious person and I find it a little bit difficult to sum up my personal philosophy in a paragraph... So let's say I like to respect others beliefs and to be respected myself as I am.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host people and I try to be hosted myself. In both cases I try to explain my culture and my passions, apart from listening to others' cultures and passions, of course.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started in couchsurfing as a guest and turned to be a host when I moved to my own apartment. I've also used this network to meet new people, especially for going on bike rides.
Interests
Cycling and traveling are my two passions and I try to combine them going bicycle touring as much a I can. It's a very good cocktail that gives me a lot of energy and makes me feel more and more eager to keep on visiting new places.
I also like writing and taking pictures, so once in a while I post some contents (guess about what?) in my personal blog: www.bicicletaimanta.cat (in Catalan and Spanish).

Music, Movies, and Books
I like many kinds of music, but I do vibrate with reggae.
Regarding books, you may not see me reading many novels, but traveling books and non-fiction genre in general.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The world is plenty of amazing places to visit. One of my longest and deepest trips I've done so far was in Northern and West Africa: Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia, Guineé Conakry, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ghana and Togo. All by bicycle!
During my eight month trip in Africa I learnt that although these countries might not be the most comfortable places to go spend your holidays, they are the most hospitable places I've been so far.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a bicycle freak. So I love mountain bikes, road bikes, urban bikes and, especially, touring bikes. So, should you have any problem with your rig, I will be pleased to give you a hand.
I like learning and teaching languages, so maybe I can teach you some words and phrases in Catalan or Spanish so you can use them to impress people when visiting my country.
And since I also love learning languages, I'll be pleased to meet people who can help me with this.
I also love sitting on a terrace and enjoying the sun while having a drink, so maybe we can go for a beer or a coffee and share some stories.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Another thing I love to do is cooking. I'm not great at it but I do prepare some very tasty Catalan specialities that you might want to try. :)
