About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet more wombats (don't come across many around these parts of Australia), create meaninful connections to people and place, learn more about different cultures and wisdom traditions, and have some fun times along the way. I'm very keen to experience different countries, explore nature, check out lots of art, music, film and meet interesting people.
ABOUT ME
I live in Brisbane with two cats, Turi and Sita.
For the past decade I've become very interested in spiritual philosophies and practices. In 2021, I completed yoga teacher training and am happy to teach yoga or meditation with anyone whom I host or stay with. I also enjoy forest walking and hikes, which I consider to be a beautiful extension to any spiritual or meditative practice.
I'm very passionate about the arts, and for the last few years have been focusing on creating poems, which I sometimes marry with abstract video and music. I'm interested in the liberating potential of surrealist tools and techniques, and use these to produce poems; for example, I collect words from people at music festivals and then at the end of the festival I take all the singular words and move them around to lines begin to form and speak to me. I will be making poems on my upcoming trips to Asia and Europe, and would love for hosts to contribute a few words, if they like.
Last year, a friend and I started a surrealist group called Sanctuary of Surrealism. I'm also a board member, helping run a community art space in Brisbane, called House Conspiracy.
For work, I've recently started an online vinyl record store, and I work two days a week doing disability support work.
I've observed a vegetarian diet for around 27 years but am not against people whose diet differs. We all live different lives and follow different paths.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe; attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion; I've watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like... tears in rain.
19 day Annapurna trek in Nepal (majestic!). Earthquake hit when we were in Pokara (scary!).
