HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I did a 26 country, 12 month trip around the world in 2005-2006. I couchsurfed a few times and really enjoyed meeting people from other cultures and appreciated being welcomed into their lives and homes for a short period.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All fantastic so far! My first, Orla in Seattle, was amazing Kind, sweet, and a great cook. :-) Julian, in Shanghai, was another highlight. Lovely, comfy flat and great city advice from a sophisticated, fun, smart fella.

The most amazing things I've seen are everyday interactions ordinary people have with each other. Watching a family enjoy a meal together or play with their child... there are millions of little moments that rival all the mountains climbed and sunsets seen.
