About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To talk to, understand, and connect with as many interesting people as I can
ABOUT ME
I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Asheville in 2014 and then lived in that great town for an additional two years working as a certified nursing assistant. I am currently a second year medical student at GA-PCOM.
I really enjoy concerts, long talks with friends, the outdoors (swimming activities particularly), and vegan food.
PHILOSOPHY
I try and analyze everything with an open minded and critical approach. I'm constantly looking for ways to better myself through knowledge and experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
HOST:
I've probably hosted about 3-4 different people so far. All have been awesome. My only regret is when I was too busy to hang out enough.
SURF:
I've surfed on my own, with my girlfriend, and with friends. My most recent trips have been going to Florida and Chicago with my girlfriend and to Washington, DC with a good friend on mine. It's always been amazing and the experience of meeting the great people on this site has been priceless.
I've gone on a few trips myself and have taken various trips with my girlfriend and other friends. I went on a great trip Florida with my girlfriend. We stopped at various cities along the way and had a blast.
Interests
Reading science fiction. Playing board games. Learning about and discovering the world. Traveling. Hiking to swimming holes. Meeting new people. Watching all kinds movies. Skepticism/Critical Thinking.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a fairly low standard for enjoyment of most things in this category. I tend to watch a lot of movies so if it's a fairly popular one, I've probably seen it.
My music tastes has changed a bit over the year, but the same principle as above applies. I usually try use music to try and amplify whatever mood I'm in. I also listen to a few comedy and science podcasts regularly.
Music: Elliott Smith, Wolf Parade, Handsome Furs, Arcade Fire, Beirut, Pavement
Books: The Demon-Haunted World, Trick or Treatment, The Sparrow, Harry Potter, Name of the Wind
Comic Books: Sandman series, Most stuff by Alan Moore, Lots of superhero stuff, Fables
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing the stars with a 360 degree view on a 16 ft. sailing boat off the coast of Maine. I'm from the city and wasn't used to the lack of light pollution. It blew me away.
I also worked in a hospital as a nursing assistant for a few years and got the opportunity to work with people during probably some of the worst days of their lives. Not "amazing" in a really cool sense, but I think about those days a lot.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have degrees in biology and psychology but I can't promise that I know anything about either. I also recently completed my first year of medical school so I can pretend to be a doctor pretty well. You probably either have diabetes, a broken clavicle, or Horner's syndrome.
I can do Jacob's Ladder if you give me some string.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Similar to the last category of Teach, Learn, Share. I usually like to spend at least a little time with my hosts to get to know them and swap life experiences.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Dominican Republic, Germany, Israel, Jamaica, Mexico
