About Me
Born and raised into a travelling family, the love for moving and experiencing has become a big part of me, and I'm living the life of continuing this adventure of seeing new places and learning as much as I can about the world and everything in it. My darlingest husband has the same travel bug as me, so we left home (Canada) in 2008 and we've been on the move since then. We've had an amazing five year adventure of traveling and living abroad. Now we're back in Canada and joining the lifestyle of settling and making ourselves at home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Sean and I have been hosts and guests all over the world, the last two years we've mostly been guests, so it's time we turn that around and start hosting again! We love having people over and sharing stories, showing people around.
My experiences so far have been great! We've met amazing people in every country we've been to.
Interests
Oh jeez. The sun, good conversations, coffee, a good long walk in a new place, long bus rides, having fun adventures or just lounging around, a good book, and especially experiencing new and different aspects and perspectives of life!
I'm really into sustainability and environmental issues: our life plan is to build an eco-home and grow our own food... Some day.
Now that we're settled down, we have a zillion hobbies. We hike with our dog a lot, have back-yard building projects, have a garden started, we bake and cook, and generally end up packing our weekends with all kinds of good stuff. After being on the road for so long, we are very much taking advantage of having a home base and a yard!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm kinda a sci-fi geek, and I love fantastical stuff. I always have a few books around, and rainy weather will always find me cuddled up to a book with a cup of coffee in my hand.
Movies? They're alright.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sean and I have been having the time of our lives, being abroad for the last five years. Small towns, big cities, incredible landscapes, beautiful people, fantastic conversations. Five years and 21 countries have turned into a lifetime of memories to think of. I can't even think of how I could narrow down to specific amazing things. Hiking in Borneo's jungles, swimming and snorkeling in oceans and seas all around Asia, making lifelong friends on the road, seeing landscapes from buses, trains, airplanes, hostels, mountaintops, long hikes, and motorcycle rides. I think we'll look back on all these experiences and know that we're incredibly lucky.
Teach, Learn, Share
