About Me

CURRENT MISSION

this is all subject. to. change.

ABOUT ME

**I use a hidden ISP sometimes, so disregard my last city logged in at location, it's often incorrect** I'm laid back, but am very analytical by nature. I am very eclectic. I grew up in smaller towns but love everything from the country to the big city. Depends on the day, I may be a girly girl or more of a tomboy, just never can tell. I am doing what most everyone else in this world is doing...searching for myself, the person I really am...or at least the person I am going to be. The people around me bring out the different aspects of my personality. I love to feed off of others. Ask me any question you want. You ask, I'll answer. That's one of my favorite games.

PHILOSOPHY

Have faith in uncertainty because that is the only thing you can plan on...that and death. Live and let live. Be open and excepting of people, you'll learn more this way. They (whoever they are) are just as scared of you as you are of them. Sayings like "this too shall pass" and other fairly cliche statements are often true, even if we don't like to admit it. Even if something, some place, or someone is not my favorite thing, it doesn't mean that it doesn't have intrinsic value and won't teach me something; there is good in everyone and every place, it is a choice on the individual's part to find this or not. I can find something valuable or good in any thing, for the most part. I could go on and on...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started out surfing and loved it. Nothing seemed to gel when I did have a couch for people to surf though, so I'm still looking forward to participating in that way (once I settle down again...eventually).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, all my experiences have been just wonderful! But I also believe that things are what you make of them--though I did not have to try at all to make these experiences wonderful because my hosts were just spectacular! I am officially hooked on couch surfing and want to expose as many people who have never heard of CS-ing before to the idea so they too can experience it too!

Interests

Traveling, rock climbing, ceramics, scuba diving, surfing, horses, anything water related, traveling, making a connection with people, learning from others, traveling, running, working out, eating good food (that's why I run so much), good music, new experiences. There is little that doesn't interest me...except maybe politics, government, and geography (go figure, right?!). Oh yeah, did I mention traveling as one of my interests?

Music, Movies, and Books

I like pretty much anything. Depends on my mood, but I like action, drama, comedy, slapstick, musicals, oldies, classics, all kinds of movies. Least fav would have to be sci-fi, but I even like some of them too. I am big into self improvement so that's mainly the books I like, but I also like non-fiction books that offer either real life humor or some sort of inspiration. Music, I can do anything...except gangsta rap. My music taste is even more varied than my movie palate. And I love to be introduced to new artists, groups, and sounds! While I am traveling out of the States I realize how much I truly LOVE Pandora Radio and MISS it. I haven't listened to the radio in over two years as I am either rockin something from my iPod or Pandora via my phone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to pick just one thing. I have had so many wonderful opportunities in my life so far and know that there is only more unlocked doors to open along the way. And I look forward to walking through as many of them as I can before I leave this world. But, if I had to say something it would be, the looks on the faces, and the love and true appreciation that was shown to me for helping to build a house in Uganda. Truly changed my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a fountain of trivial knowledge, so I'm more than happy to share. I know a little bit about a lot, a lot about certain things (the human body, for instance), and could and will always learn more. If you're not learning you're not growing. If you're not growing then you're dying. I'm way too young to start dying now! And by me sharing the information that I have, I can hopefully help someone else grow and learn in their life. It is a mutual and reciprocal dance of sharing and learning, teaching others and yourself, that this life is offering us. Don't be a wallflower and sit this one out!! Participate. Live, love, learn, share, DANCE!
