ABOUT ME

I am a musician (singer)with a strong interest in History and Culture. I speak French because I grew up in a town which had an immersion program spanning from 1st to 12th grade. I'm not the best at French, but I can think in the language. I love traveling, meeting people, and hearing the opinions of others.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live in the moment...I know that's a cliché, but there's really no other way to do it. Enjoy what you can while you can.

I am still new to the community, and feel that I need a little more experience with it before I can figure out what my best contribution could be, but for the moment I'm just eager to learn and share what I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Love musical theater and opera, and am open to all genres of music (for instance, I have a random love of country music)

Movies: fantasy, romance, action, cartoon, most things that are well made I like. My favorite movie (actually its a mini-series) is the 10th kingdom.

Books: Most recent book-crush: "the mists of Avalon", so many great historical, religious, sexist, and moral questions. Like books that mix action with moral/philosophical dillemas...and of course Harry Potter...

Teach, Learn, Share

As I'm sure you've gathered I love music, and love to share what I know about it. My knowledge is primarily of classical music and American musical theater- some of the history surrounding why music is what it is today, and what it is like to study/live as a classical musician or actor. I can also teach basic French phrases, and share incites into what its like to be a Student in the United States. I am extremely interested in swapping political views with people from other countries and learning how the system works, and in turn I can explain my understanding of our system in the United States.
