About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Barefootedness rocks, getting to know interesting people even more.
ABOUT ME
Easy-going guy from northern Europe, like to spend time in social environments, talkative, almost gotten over my childhood shyness ;) Mental and physical challenges are welcome, and conversely I enjoy reading a lot and occasionally drawing as well.
I'll add more stuff, the thing is that me and my friend, we are leaving to USA for 2 months roadtrip in 4 days [that is 23rd of May, '09], and I have to start looking for possible places to couchsurf :)
Addendum: we've now been on our way for almost a month, and CS friggin rocks. We've loved all the places, Chicago, Toronto, Buffalo, Boston, NYC, Miami, now in Key West! Coming up: Orlando, New Orleans, Austin, and so forth! Await CS requests from me :)
Addendum 2: 7 or so weeks behind, after Austin we visited Dallas, Lubbock, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, San Diego, and now in Santa Monica. Heading up to San Francisco, our last stop before Finland :(
PHILOSOPHY
Absolutes are not realistic.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hopefully by traveling a lot, and hosting people after I again get an apartment after summer ;)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have this Europe-spanning university-student organization called "AEGEE", where every country's antenna organization (bout 50 of them) holds a week or two of "Summer University" (SU). SU is basically a gathering of like-minded individuals having a blast learning about other cultures, each other and, occasionally, night life .) Participants are usually accommodated at people's homes, and personally I've been both a participant and an organizer.
I tell this so that you can see that even though I'm new to this site, I am not new to the concept of CouchSurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Viewpoints differ. Hiking for a week through a cold barren wasteland of northern Finland/Norway without seeing another soul is cool for someone ( i like ), while felling trees before heating up the sauna and mentally preparing for swimming in a cold ocean afterwards might be amazing to someone ( i like ), and again drinking a bucket of rhum and coke with straws and with strangers in a weird bungalove in the stiffling heat of thailand might do it for someone ( i like ), or talking with someone new during the middle of a night riding an old decrepit train through the mostly untouched nature of Croatia, windows open to let the air soothe you, might be something good too ( i like ). Fact is, it often is amazing or cool depending on the people, not the place.
