About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Coming back from Mauritanie in a few days and immediately travelling to Canada!

ABOUT ME

Well it is a bit hard to describe myself. Let's say that I can look a bit shy at the beginning, but then I think I'm open-minded and willing to learn from people I meet.

Music is my passion, I sing and play the guitar in a band. I'm always excited about meeting other musicians and I love to learn about different musical influences.

I also love rugby. I'm a big fan of Stade Toulousain which is the main team in Toulouse. Enjoy a beer watching a rugby game is one of my favorite activities.

And then I guess you'll have to figure out yourself about the rest :)

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that world would be better if people who got the luck to live without being in need tried to help the one who didn't. I know it sounds a little bit utopic but I really believe in it, and that's what I'm trying to do with my life.

I also think that a smile can do a lot, and that trying to stay positive helps a lot even when life gets tough.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted some people in Toulouse and had a great time with each one of them. Then I surfed some couches during my trip through Europe in 2009. Then I moved to Paris to make my internship and I found an amazing flat where I lived with a good friend. We hosted some people. After a year in Mauritania, and not much CS activity, I wanna travel and do more!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met some couchsurfers in Morocco during spring 2008 (hosts and guests) and I though the idea was great. Then I forgot a little bit about it, untill i decided to finally create my profile and jump into it.

Since then, I hosted some great people in Toulouse, I surfed some couches while I was travelling through Europe, and hosted some people in Paris when I was living with my good friend.

Interests

As I said, my first passion is music (no matter what kind of music as long as it's made with real instruments).
I love rugby, travelling even though I didn't travel that much yet, I'm looking for culture shocks, I want to learn about people I meet.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: the ones that come to my mind now are Forrest Gump, The Green Mile, Babel, The Constant Gardener, Star Wars, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Mystic River, Once upon a time in the West, and so much more that I can't remember now.

Music: I'm more into rock music. Some french bands (Noir Désir, Mano Negra, Béruriers Noirs, Deportivo) and also some "old classical" (Nirvana, Rolling Stones, Beatles, The Who, Pink Floyd, The Clash, and so on). I recently (re)discovered old rock n'roll heroes such as Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis or Billy Haley, I just can't stop listenning... I also like reggae music a lot, especially Bob Marley. That's what I listen most of the time, but I'm open to all kinds of music that are made with real instruments (I can't stand electro and techno music).

Books: I mainly read books in french so I barely know the original titles. I can say that I love Milan Kundera (The Unbearable Lightness of Being), Ernest Hemingway (For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Old Man and The Sea), Fyodor Dostoyevsky (Crime and Punishment). I love french poetry as well (Musset, Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Verlaine).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most beautiful thing I've seen in my life is the sunrise on Titicaca Lake (check out the pic). Beyond the beauty of the view, it means a lot to me because it's kind of a symbol of my journey in Peru (which was my first big experience abroad).

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd be happy to teach you basic guitar playing, juggling with balls or how to make your own spaceship out of a teabag.

I'd love to learn how to dance, how to pilot a plane (can you teach me ;) ), to improve my guitar skills, or to hear about anything else your passionate about.

Let's share good food, good wine, good time.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Belgium, Bolivia, Canada, Czech Republic, Italy, Netherlands Antilles, Poland, Saint Lucia, Senegal, Spain, United Kingdom, Vatican City State
