CURRENT MISSION
Chillin' by the beach in SoCal!
ABOUT ME
I started doing trail work in January for Southwest Conservation Corps in Phoenix,AZ and got hired in Durango,CO in March. We maintain and build trails in National Forests throughout the Four Corners. It's been really cool. We work and live outdoors for 12 days straight and go back to town for 2. The session ended at the end of May so I traveled through Colorado with a friend and got to backpack Rocky Mountain National Park. After that I became a certified raft guide in Durango for Southwest Whitewater. Riding the rivers is some of the most fun I've ever had. Well, I've been traveling for the summer, going to some music festivals and got to backpack Yosemite and the Olympics. I'm headed back to Colorado to do trail work again for the Fall. I've been meeting really great people everywhere I go!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like so much different music like acoustic, reggae, folk, bluegrass, jam bands, electronic, trance, etc. One of my favorite movies might be Go Further with Woody Harrelson. I also love the Planet Earth Series! Other great movies would be A Scanner Darkly, Waking Life and What the Bleep do we Know. One of my favorite books is the Celestine Prophesy. I just read a book on Tibetan Magic and Mysticism and I'm now reading a book called The Lost Gospel of the Earth. It's about the need to blend spirituality with environmentalism in order to coexist peacefully with the planet.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I just backpacked in the Olympic National Park. I stayed on the coast for two nights. Amazing beaches and lush rainforest with sea stacks off the coast and banana slugs everywhere. Then I went in the Hoh Rainforest and stayed a night on the river. It's gray from glacial runoff! The next day I hiked up almost 4,000 ft. in 5 miles to a lake on top of the mountains called Hoh lake. Almost had a heat stroke! The next day I hiked across the ridge with an amazing view of Mt. Olympus covered in glaciers to my right and a 7 lake basin to my left. I stopped at a heart shaped lake before going down the Sol Duc River and sleeping right upstream from the waterfall. What an adventure!
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to play guitar and hand drums like the Djembe. I also know a little mandolin. I like to show people some chords to get them strumming and some beats to get them jamming.
