About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet exciting new folks on a continent I've never visited before!
ABOUT ME
** My partner and I are traveling through Spain, France and Ireland until July 14th. We have sleeping bags and a tent, so if yard space is our only option, we'll take it!! **
I'm generally a pretty energetic, outgoing person, and I get a lot of talking to and learning about other people. I try and surround myself with inspiring and stimulating folks who are passionate about their beliefs and who can make fun happen in creative way. Rooftop rockbox party, anyone?
I graduated from Indiana University last year, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking. Since then, I've kept myself busy playing music, working on projects, and traveling.
PHILOSOPHY
I guess I believe a lot of the clichéd mantras! Treat everyone with respect... Keep a positive outlook, because everything works out...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Mutual aid and support is intrinsic to my life, which is why I think it's great that CS provides this resource. One person helping out another, and it all works out in the end.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Over the past ten years, I've found myself traveling out of town to attend or play shows, go to demonstrations or conferences, or just to visit friends... combined with the handful of times I've been without a home of my own, I'd say I've slept on hundreds of different couches, offered up by some truly kind and generous people.
Also, for the past ten years or so I've provided couches and floor space for out-of-towners and touring bands places to sleep on. It would be wrong to do otherwise.
When I was staying with some friends in Louisville, the sketchy long-haired rocker of a Landlord saw me and asked if I was "Ridin' the couch," to which I replied "Hell yeah!"
Interests
One of my favorite activities is to get to know someone through the act of cooking a meal together. Preferably breakfast, but dinner is okay too. The stories and personal histories that are exchanged tell a lot about someone, and the process of turning ingredients into something delicious is great to bond over.
I'm always anxious to explore abandoned buildings, creepy old cemeteries, and natural phenomenon. Oh yeah, I'm a sucker for geology and I've been known to geek out over rocks and fossils.
I just tried Iced Tea for the first time very recently and it's all I can drink... it's just so dang refreshing!
