ABOUT ME

I'm a grade school teacher in Ottawa. Other than working with old school technology, the arts and drama in class, I’m usually outdoors or playing at repairing things. Melanie works with numbers daytime and does yoga, tennis, SUP plenty.
We are easygoing, adventurous and can get pretty silly at times. We have a terrible habit of singing songs with improvised lyrics...hard to describe really.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

New to Surfing and love the concept - will definately become part of our way of life. Toured the Ring of Kerry, Ireland with my daughter - Surfing all the way. Fantastic! Looking forward to receiving folks, too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After a day ... and night of kayaking on a river in eastern Quebec, we were chilled and starving. My first Surf was on the floor of a camp`s kitchen. Lucky us!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on fishing trips in very remote locations with people of the Montagnais and Naskapi Nations of Northern Quebec. Easily some of my more trying and satisfying experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

We`re a pretty handy bunch - can garden, mend, repair and cook. I`m a `make something out of nothing` kind of cook, and practice dispute resolution.
