Not to return to Finland before next summer.

ABOUT ME

I'm leaving Finland for New Zealand with my girlfriend and two friends for approx eight months. The plan is that there is no plan and it could easily be that we'll leave NZ earlier for some other country. Thought I might try using CS to find some interesting people, new friends and maybe save a few pennies!

I grew up in Naantali, a minor coastal town in Finland, Went to vocational school and studied to be an electrician just to see that it's not for me. After that I spent a year in Finnish navy (in Finland army service is compulsory). When I got out of there I applied to study international politics and state studies, I passed so after coming back next summer I'll begin my studies.
I'm very interested in enviroment, social matters and saving our planet.
I prefer bicycling and walking over other means of transportation, and public transport over private cars.

I'm often thinking over the eternal question of reason of life, quite usually coming to the conclusion of that there is none, so if one wants a reason for life it needs to be made up on your own and for me it's something like: do what you want and have fun doing it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well I've met a lot of people using couchsurfing here and there. Havent yet been able to get accomodation (mostly because I take contact one or two days before arrival).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking (tramping) in New Zealand!!!
Snorkeling for the first time in the mediterranean (baltic sea resembles a muddy pond when compared).
It was also quite amazing when I started traveling with my friends and understood that there's way more out there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn to cook well, different or strange foods especially. I would also love to learn more languages, and can by myself teach Finnish!
