ABOUT ME
I'm almost always up for interesting conversations. I am curious about this beautiful fascinating world, and keen on meeting more people from its many corners.
Summer 2009, I completed rickshawing from Lands End, Cornwall, to Lowestoft, Norfolk, to raise money for Action Village India.
This 900+ mile journey was how I got into the world of couchsurfing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love DIY / grassrootsy projects like CS. I've hosted a few times, from just offering a bed for the night, to taking out surfers for a night on the town!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've done lots of hosting both in London and in Brighton and enjoyed meeting people from all over the world - some of whom have become friends. I've surfed in Milan, Paris, Berlin, Sweden, Belgium and in Dartmoor - all very positive experiences. In Italy, I was privileged to go to a CS party on a hill overlooking the city: together with wine, food and lots of happy CSers I saw the sun set and the moon rise over the city. And in Paris I joined a most convivial 'Picnic du Jour' in a park. How wonderful to connect with interesting people wherever I go.

Music, Movies, and Books
A old film I really like is 'Brief Encounter' - so sad and beautiful. And one I saw more recently that is brilliant is Age of Stupid. There are so many wonderful books I don't know where to start - Naomi Wolf, David Lodge, David Mitchell are a few authors I enjoy, though for political passion, no-one beats George Monbiot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting up to see the sun rise early on a spring morning, the mist lifting to reveal a view of North London below, and hearing the dawn chorus with a thermos of tea in hand in my local park was pretty amazing. Sometimes you don't have to travel far for an amazing experience.
