ABOUT ME

We are sweethearts originally from Kansas; after living in Tucson AZ for a sunny year and a half, work has brought us to Charleston, SC!

We've got a rental lined up for February 1st, but we will need a place (or places) to stay until then. Delighted to cook meals, clean house, or help out in any way in exchange.

We used this account for a visit to Ukraine and Moldova last year to visit buddies in the Peace Corps. Andrew also used it during travels with his good friend Michael as they made their way across the entirety of Europe to Ulaan Bataar, Mongolia.

He's had extensive travel experience throughout the world and has visited over 40 different countries. Naturally, he's also visited nearly every state in the United States. He's always delighted tell stories. Ask about the Mongol Rally!

Andrew owns and operates an iphone repair company: ifixitguy.com He's just purchased a freight forwarding company here in Charleston which supplies international schools with supplies.

Pauline is a writer. She dearly loves yoga, art, and all critters great & small.

We enjoy cooking meals, contributing to liquor cabinets, and cleaning house in exchange for sleeping on your couch. Always leave things tidier than we found them. Hope to hear from you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We spread the word to everyone we meet in our travels about couch surfing and how awesome it can be to both host and stay on someones couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've hosted a huge number of people, although not usually through Couch surfer. Visitors from France, London, Phoenix, Lawrence, Albuquerque & Portland have come to live & play with us, occasionally for weeks at a time.

Andrew did some couch surfing in Russia during the summer of 08 along with extensive couch surfing throughout Europe in the summer of 09.

Andrew & Pauline have couch surfed in Ukraine, Moldova, Charleston SC and Louisville KY.

We have a wide variety of musical interests-Johnny Cash, Spoon, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Sam Cooke-and are always more than happy to exchange with other people.

Paula loves films and we both dig documentaries. She's the more avid reader, but Andrew is more well-read than he would have you believe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We've travelled all around the states; Andrew is familiar with the Netherlands, Croatia, Bosnia, Romania, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Austria, many other countries in eastern europe, Russia, and has family in the UK.

The Mongol Rally was probably the craziest experience Andrew has ever had.

Caving in Tucson, Arizona can be pretty gnarly--wriggling down cracks the size of her head was certainly one of the most amazingly intense experiences Pauline's ever had.

Teach, Learn, Share

Pauline has a degree in Creative Writing from the University of Kansas. She studied with Adam Desnoyers, and David Ohle, who grew up transcribing the dreams of William Burroughs.

Andrew has degrees in both Russian History and Business. He's also a crackerjack salesman.

We have a wealth of knowledge from our various adventures, misadventures, and travels worldwide. We always love to share.

Pauline is a writer, cat-whisperer and an excellent masseuse. She also reads tea leaves!

Andrew is a story-teller, salesman, showman and all-around debonair.
